Travelling to Weymouth for the Olympic sailing? Better not use the train!

South West trains have published the following statement

‘trains to and from Weymouth are expected to be extremely busy.  Spectators for the sailing events are recommended to drive to one of the Olympic park and ride sites for buses to the spectator areas’

What happened to the ‘green and sustainable’ travel ethos of the games?  Surely the train operators have had enough notice – seven years since our bid was accepted – to arrange extra trains and rolling stock!!
